Grenoble – France

We are fascinated by interactions between unicellular eukaryotes in marine and freshwater plankton. We study the physiology and functioning of photosymbiosis (association between a heterotrophic host and microalgae), using multimodal subcellular imaging techniques and omics analyses.

 

How does the host accomodate and control an intracellular microalga?

What are the physiological features of microalgae inside a host cell?

 

The Photosymbiosis team belongs to the Cell & Plant Physiology Laboratory UMR 5168 (CNRS, University of Grenoble, CEA, INRAe).
