In France, we celebrated  “Fête de la Science” (Science Days) from 4th to 14th October 2024.  Our team organized sessions to share our virtual reality application (Planktoquest) with kids and adults in several places in Grenoble. Johan did several conference demos of PlanktoQuest, one of them was in the immersive room of Cosmocité.

Our team was also present for two days at Parvis des Sciences CEA Grenoble, an event organized by Giant Campus. During this event, we presented the new version of PlanktoQuest to kids and adults. This new version immerses users in the ocean to discover the different shapes and sizes of marine plankton (from viruses to microscopic animals), while interacting with them. We also had portable microscopes (Curiosity Micrsoscope) so people could observe microalgae and symbiotic models that are maintained in the lab.

Johan gave a conference at Midi By Giant on the TREC scientific mission and the exploration of marine plankton.
