MicroSEA course 2026 was held in the Biological station of Roscoff

From June 6th to June 13th, 20 students have been hosted for one week by the biological station of Roscoff (Finistère, France) for the occasion of the MicroSEA (Microbial Sea Eukaryotes) summer course 2026.

MicroSEA course was a field-based summer school aiming at training early-career researchers in diversity, ecology, and single-cell biology of marine protists. The course integrated lectures, field sampling, and lab-based practicals in advanced techniques, such as flow cytometry, microscopy, culturing, and molecular analysis.

The course made a point of honor to promote international collaborations and peer networking among students and speakers/trainers. Experts around the world participated to this first edition and made the course a place of exiting scientific exchanges!
