From June 6^th to June 13^th, 20 students have been hosted for one week by the biological station of Roscoff (Finistère, France) for the occasion of the MicroSEA (Microbial Sea Eukaryotes) summer course 2026.

MicroSEA course was a field-based summer school aiming at training early-career researchers in diversity, ecology, and single-cell biology of marine protists. The course integrated lectures, field sampling, and lab-based practicals in advanced techniques, such as flow cytometry, microscopy, culturing, and molecular analysis.

The course made a point of honor to promote international collaborations and peer networking among students and speakers/trainers. Experts around the world participated to this first edition and made the course a place of exiting scientific exchanges!
