We are happy to announce the release of the new version of Planktoquest, a virtual reality application to explore the marine plankton.

This new version includes now an exploration into the biodiversity of ocean plankton. Users can discover and manipulate about twenty planktonic organisms from large protists to bacteria and viruses. Using a virtual watch, they can travel through different “worlds” of sizes (meso, micro, nano, pico). Once engaged with a plankton, the user can know more about the bug with information and quizz, and can measure it with a ruler.
